Arnesia Dews – For her outstanding performance at the Indoor Track State Championship at Liberty University. Arnesia won four individual state titles in the triple jump, 55m, 300m, and 500m. She also placed 3rd in the high jump and long jump. Arnesia also broke the 300M state record with an amazing time of 41 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 43 seconds! Arensia scored 52 total points in the meet, which was 7 points away from breaking the state record for a single state meet. What an incredible accomplishment! We are proud of you!
Sydney Kerr – For demonstrating great leadership and initiative by taking an active role in helping recruit girls for the varsity tennis team. Sydney has been working to encourage others to get involved, helping grow the program and create more opportunities for students to participate in athletics.
Samaria Broggin and Chelsia Nowlin – For volunteering their time after school to help their teacher decorate and hang materials in the classroom. Your willingness to help and support others is greatly appreciated.

SAT Prep will be held this Friday, March 6th during first block in HS Room H117.
All current juniors are invited to attend the LU College Tour on March 19, 2026. You will tour the campus, talk to LU professors, and meet with admission counselors. You will also have the opportunity to apply to LU at no charge.
In order to go, you must:
Pick up a WC permission form from Mrs. Feeken and return it signed to Mrs. Feeken before Monday, March 16.
Register with LU at the link provided before Monday, March 16. This will allow you to ride the LU bus and get a free Chick-fil-A lunch.
Only the first 30 students who register will be allowed to attend, so register SOON.
B-team baseball and softball tryouts will begin today from 6:00 to 8:00.
Talent Show Reminder! If you’re planning to participate in the Talent Show on April 3rd, don’t forget to sign up in the main office! Sign-ups close on March 16th — make sure you get your name on the list!
It's time for March Madness in the library! In honor of National Reading Month, students are invited to participate in the reading challenge, design a bookmark contest, and vote in the book tournament. Stop by the library for more information.
The Beta Club will be hosting a blood drive on March 25th. Students aged 16 and older are invited to participate, but must have a signed parental consent form. See Ms. May or visit redcross.org to sign up.
This Friday at 12:45, there will be an interest meeting in the auditorium for any students in grades 6–12 who are interested in playing football next school year. This meeting is for those who plan to play football in the fall. An announcement will be made at 12:45 for students to come down to the auditorium.
Attention seniors. The Jostens representatives will be at school on Monday March 9th to deliver caps, gowns, and other graduation items. They will be set up in the cafeteria during second and third lunches. All seniors need to stop by to pick up their items as this is a one day event.

The Varsity Girls Tennis Team is still looking for a few girls to round out the team. If you’re interested in playing or would like more information, please see Coach Cox, any current player, or Coach Smith. Practice is directly after school at the tennis courts!
